The „Dark Ocean“ halter is a high-quality halter made from particularly soft leather. The anatomically cut headpiece provides more freedom for the ears and is comfortable to wear. Two stainless steel buckles enable optimum adjustment to the horse’s head. Decorative black and blue stones adorn the cheek pieces and the noseband.

One size especially for Icelandic horses. Some products are still shipped with the old Epona logo.

Gentle guidance thanks to anatomical halter

A noseband is bitless – this is a good thing so that your Icelandic horse does not injure its mouth. The halter fits correctly if it does not constrict the Icelandic horse and does not cause chafing. The length should be such that the noseband is about a finger’s width below the cheekbone. It should also not slip over the nostrils or lie on the free bridge of the nose, as your Icelandic horse is sensitive in these areas.

Without the right care, even very high-quality leather will crack over time and become susceptible to breakage. Permanent exposure to sunlight or mold infestation due to damp storage damage the leather and should be avoided at all costs.

To ensure longevity and guarantee that you will enjoy our product for a long time, we recommend wiping the leather with a damp cloth after each use and removing light soiling such as sweat, hair and sand.

Ideally, the leather should be thoroughly cleaned once a month and then greased with leather balm or leather oil. The grease ensures that the leather remains elastic and no cracks or tears form.
